Matthew Edward Krug
Matthew Krug is a Materials Research Engineer in the Metals Branch, housed in the Structural Materials Division at the Air Force Research Laboratory's Materials and Manufacturing Directorate. He obtained a BS in Materials Science and Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, a Master degree in Materials for Structures and Energy from the École Centrale de Paris, and a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from Northwestern University. His current research interests include (i) the processing science of powder bed fusion additive manufacturing, and (ii) aluminum alloys – both conventional wrought aluminum alloys for structural aerospace applications, and advanced aluminum alloys for structures and propulsion.
